The deal is provisionally agreed but the player is away. Liverpool have therefore been coy to the press as nothing can be done in earnest until he is back. Hence the rumours of him now staying there and no other offers / rumours about him going anywhere else. You heard it here first and will be wrapped up in earnest in next couple of weeks.

I know you are unlikely to be able to say but any chance of a hint at the source? Anything that I can desperately cling to would be good...

Kante going to Chelsea for 32million puts the beneteke deal in to prospective if kante is worth that.beneteke is definitely worth 32million if not more considering kante was brought from lille for 5.5million a year ago I would now just get this deal done while his only worth that much otherwise Liverpool might say his worth more SO SP just get this deal done

Could be that the club has lost patience with Benteke, or that they will as you suggest sign off a deal with Benteke in a couple of weeks, in which case we would have a striker group of Wickham, Benteke and Berahino?

Maybe the Berahino story is a deliberate ploy to gee Liverpool up? I think Benteke is a far better fit with our style than Berahino.

To sign Breahino we'll have to play a different style, formation and employ different tactics which for the sake of a sulky player with a s* attitude and an agent that's a total c*!
