I can put an end to this rumour for now- A friend in the advertising industry told me that he saw Parish out for dinner and that he confirmed Benteke was coming. Later that night he received another call to say the deal was off. Benteke reluctant to leave apparently...

Unless you can expand on the circumstances where and how this (alleged) conversation took place, I don't really see how you're in a position to put an end to, or indeed, comment on this story at all. Pretty good odds I would think. For what it's worth I don't think either of them will end up at Palace. Benteke seems to think we're beneath him and would rather get splinters in his ar5e sitting on the bench and I'm not sure Berahino is what we need. Can see us leaving it until the last day or two of the window where we'll sign someone completely underwhelming who the club will say was our target all along.
