Spot on. None of us knows why, assuming there was ever anything to the rumours, a deal did not happen.

Reggae and benteke sound very similar but not an ideal match. Could be a starting point...

There's a site called rhyme zone that people like me with no imagination can use to come up with rhymes. Basically Benteke should be really easy because anything that ends in an 'ay' sound should work. Rhyme zone for instance comes up with soufflé - I challenge anyone to come up with a football song that uses soufflé - Benteke, Benteke he rises like a soufflé. Benteke Benteke he scores home and away.

2-5 odds on oddschecker. My belief is he's waiting until the 23rd July to complete 1 year at pool and to get his loyalty bonus then he'll be at Palace.

As good a bet as any other...also I think he is back from holiday Monday, so next week should see him.....collecting his bonus and.....?

To me it seems that Klopp's comments were aimed directly at Benteke and therefore the asking price is not the stumbling block. It is Benteke himself or his agent promising him a move to a "bigger" club. He will come when he realises that no-one else wants him. We have also been linked with Berahino again but I wonder if we really are interested or are we using him to force Liverpool and/or Benteke's hand.

Wijnaldum about to sign for Liverpool, puts more pressure on Benteke to move. I actually now have no doubt at all he will be leaving Liverpool. And at this moment in time I still think Palace are favourites to sign him.
Although we all know in football things can change very quickly.
