We need someone with Premier League experience who can motivate a team to play above its level for eleven games. Not an easy task right now. Roy is too old. Big Sam anyone? Super Al? He lives locally. Not sure we can risk someone like Kompany even if we could get him right now.

I'd try for Kompany, Burnley are miles clear at the top of the championship, playing good football and he's worked under/learned from Pep So did Vieira

PV's song was over. We need somebody older , with a long CV and some overseas experience. Defo not Lampard, Rooney or any other fellas without many managerial accolades. New managers often make mistakes in their first job e.g. Alex Ferguson was sacked by St Mirren. However if they fail at their next club I think we can assume they have not learned so it's a no on Lampard and Gerrard and a don't know about Rooney but we shouldn't gamble. I think Parish will have a caretaker manager until he can find someone with experience.

I think they will probably want a temporary manager for the rest of the season e.g. Roy And then in the summer target someone like Carrick. I would love someone like Carrick of even Kompany even though he is a risk if it pays off could be a very decent manager for Palace. Edited by Zaha127 (17 Mar 2023 10.46am)

Apparently an announcement will be made after the Arsenal game at the earliest. I expect Derry to take charge, who contrary to opinion is still being paid by Palace.

Anyone will do - providing they can motivate a dispirited yet talented squad. Vieira was floundering parroting the same old mutterings 'we have to take our chances' etc - stating the bleeding obvious but with no idea how to make it happen. The squad has huge potential that just needs motivation. The endless promotion of Schlupp and Ayew was his downfall.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
