Informally, what happened in Turkey is putsch, which has become a common phrase in use to describe a failed Coup d'etat. The phrase counter-coup has also been commonly used but apparently this actually describes a coup d'état undertaken by the sections of the military who did not participate in the original uprising, in response to a purge. Strangely a coup d'état is considered successful only after seven days. Maybe I should just go home

I think the term should be humanity is doomed to repeat itself. The Far Right's problem, like the far lefts problem, isn't their leaders, its their members. Too many people who are too stupid to understand that they are the greatest factor in their own problems. You'll find about half of both groups consist of people grinding their own petty axes and people who want someone or something to blame for their own inability to make the effort to improve their own life. Its probably true of most political parties, its just that I've seen it with the far right and left. Hubris runs very deep in the Far Right and Far Left.

Opinions on their own, are pretty useless unless you can establish the why and reasons

Forming an attitude is a complex business and it is fascinating to imagine how the opinions we form fit into the evolutionary process. Presumably, in evolutionary terms, there is more than one way to skin a proverbial cat.
