It could head that way if people are not careful or do not see measures as temporary. Rowing back what has been put in place may be the next big political movement. The creeping prospect of a 'cashless society' brought on by increased card usage is also something to keep an eye on, as that brings with it lots of potential negatives too.

Agreed.

Corporations and the state will always push for ever increasing power and control. Payment control is another form of that.

They're in quite the situation. Granted I can definitely see the plus side of keeping it out for a time, and that life has been carrying on as normal compared to elsewhere. They're just delaying the inevitable though, and really needed to ramp up their vaccination campaign massively then open up (at which point it will still be seem as a negatively publicly and politically as inevitably there will be a fair few deaths). Full vaccination is at 20% I believe. To be honest as that's likely the most vulnerable they should probably open up now anyway, but clearly that won't be happening.

Australia is the same. Put the fear of Christ up everyone about the vaccine then wonder why people haven't had it. Maybe those governments are the ones who want control. Ours look like flower power hippies compared to them.

I dont understand how somone can go to a football match / concert / sit on a plane (Coffee shop or pub in ireland) who is vaccinated but is positive for covid and sit next to an unvaccinated person who has just tested negative for covid!

Should be negative testing for everyone regardless of your vaccination status or none at all

So it is clear that being “double jabbed” is no longer the same as “fully vaccinated” and that you will need your “boosters” to validate your vaccine pass - at what point will you say enough is enough or are you happy to take injections year after year?

I have a flu jab every year. Is this more of a burden and I would bet that some will have a flu jab and not C19. Do you not find that a bit strange in itself?

If I completely ignore any suspicions I have then if covid follows the flu pattern it will weaken over time and essentially become similar to flu, if more transmissible.

Again, ignoring my suspicions then I predict that the vulnerable and fifty plus will probably take vaccination boosters each year but that the under fifties in good health won't in the same numbers as treatments should get increasingly better.

That choice is if our overlords allow people to make their own decisions about what goes into their bodies......and at the moment I've been very dismayed over what I've seen a conservative....supposedly libertarian PM do.

The burden may not just be the minor bureaucracy of having a booster jab, but also the potential restrictions on employment and travel etc of not having the booster.
