After the first night, the wife comes home with £50 and 10 pence. The husband asks, "Who gave you the 10p ?" The wife says,...."all of them"

Time for some Pretty Things methinks. Phil May's death seems to have fallen under the radar here.

Mr A thanks for S F Sorrow. Wonderful to hear it again. My lasting memory of the Pretties was at the first Isle of Wight festival . A one nighter with Jefferson Airplane headlining. I think I remember Phil May falling off the scaffolding at the side of the stage but finishing the set with a bloody injury to his head. I ended the night (early morning) curled up in a bin bag at the side of the stage to shelter from a downpour while a band called Blonde on Blonde played me to sleep.

As far as Free are concerned I used to go see them at the Crown in Twickenham every other Saturday night. Cost the princely sum of 2s and 6p to get in. Heady days.

I remember a pop duo called that, comprising of two Page 3 Stunnas.
