Todays second download is a show by Jerry Lee Lewis which was recorded in California in 1990. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set - or rather two sets, as JLL plays two shows on this date. This bootleg has both the early and late shows - there is a slight change around of the setlist in the late show... According to my files this is the first bootleg by JLL that I've posted... and this is an excellent show.... Todays extra download is the first album or bootleg that I've posted by this band, and I know nothing about them. They are called Kyuss and this is a short set that was recorded for German TV at the Bizarre Festival 1995. The audio is in superb quality and sounds top notch. If, like me, you know nothing about this band - give them a try!..... they're not bad at all!.... Todays first download isnt a bootleg but it is a live album. This is the Keith Emerson band Ft Marc Bonilla and a show that was recorded in Moscow on January 24th this year. It's a cracking show which starts with the famous "Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends" aka "Karn Evil 9". The band also play the classic ELP number "Tarkus" in its entirety... This is a great album... best I've heard Keith play in years.... thoroughly recommended..... Todays second download is a bootleg by Canadian band Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush. They are a Canadian band and have been around since the early 1970's. They have split up and reformed - and are still going today but were quite popular in the 1970's. Frank Marino plays guitar in a similar style to Jimi Hendrix... and some of his guitar solo's/jams are amazing - quite often lasting 15-20 minutes.. This is a set that was recorded in Williamsville, New York in 2008 and it is in superb quality... I seem to have overlooked this band as I don't have anything else by them in my files... but I will soon sort that out.... Todays extra download is the first bootleg by this band that I've posted - but not the first album. I've previously had requests for a couple of this bands albums. They are a strange outfit called Gogol Bordello and they have been called the original "Gypsy punks". The music is a real mixture of everything with violins, accordions, guitars, keyboards.. the works... and they're a real tight unit.....
