the suggestion about Howe going to Ipswich is twaddle. It is a done deal that Paul Jewell will be taking over at Ipswich.

I was going to start a seperate thread about have we gone about it in the wrong way. Ipswich sacked Keane and Had a manager lined up and employed and ready to go. We have not done this. We have sacked and looked and hopefully will get Howe. But was this the right way?

I hear it on good authority that both Hodgeson and Grant are still employed as the sides involved have not found suitable replacements.

After all would you let a star player go with out having someone in place to replace him?

I get your point, but some of the more ' ethical ' managers in the game - and I suspect Howe is one of those - won't speak to clubs that already have managers in the job.

Although it doesn't mean that he won't be manager, South London Press says the interview is today, Steve Parish says no decision made just yet...

Steve Parish said after the game on Monday that he wouldn't have spoken to anyone whilst GB was still in the job, so the ethics are on both sides.

Posted in the other Eddie Howe thread, but supposedly nothing's decided yet.

I have been thinking about this article this could well be true or Eddie may have stipulated he would like one last game at Bournmouth and so as to prevent anymore coming out Parish could have stepped in and said this to keep Eddie happy and show he would get full backing in any circumstance at Palace who knows.

I also think if it is indeed Eddie there will be no press conference conferring our manager until Monday because Eddie has already stated he will be incharge on Saturday so if it was to come out before Bournmouths game it would look totally unprofessional also the players confidance would be shot to pieces and could you imagine the fans response if it was already confirmed but again who knows.

For me there is a lot of noises from alot of people on this so let's just hope so.

The SLP article says that he would expect to take his #2 with him so would that see Dougie tossed aside?

I'll never forget the day that Danny Butterfield scored that hattrick.
And when Ambrose scored that worldy at Old Trafford.

I cant see SP letting that happen, Dougie I think will be at palace still no matter who comes in.

They won't be sentimental about it. Dougie won't be number 2 if Howe comes in.

It was my dream to play for Palace and to make my debut. I've always played for the club so if I'm playing here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Sorry should have said that actually read it as in he will be let go. Meant he will still be apart of palace.

Its nice to see that CPFC2010 are going about it all the right way too.

Whoever comes in will decide who the backroom staff will be. Yes we would all like Dougie to stay in some capacity but SP will have no say in it. If the new boss see's things without Dougie then so be it, and thats just the way it is.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!
