Like Burley was given time? Makes no sense getting rid of one manager to avoid relegation then let another take us down.

People are saying he has no Championshp experience, but it must have crossed everyones mind that he will be suitably placed to take a team up from League 1. I know we don't want to go there, but it will be an insurance policy incase the worst does happen. So heart warming to hear that Coppell is advising CPFC2010 in the whole process, even if it means he won't get the job himself - can that man be any more of a God to us? It would be a great idea if Howe does get the job, that Coppell hovers in the background, giving unobtrusive but valuable advice to the new young manager. He would be the perfect man to do that, without ego and in the very best interests of Howe and Palace. 'Better stop dreaming of the quiet life 'cos it's the one we'll never know'

If he was that committed, he also would've used the interview to say he was staying. Any manager who says they're focusing on the game and doesn't rule it out, is interested.

There was no point giving Burley anymore time, we were getting worse and his style of footbal did not suit the players.
