Welcome to the premiership!! Thought you were going to mess it up leading in to the play offs but fair play to you for coming through them.

Looking forward to my trip to Selhurst where am sure we will be warmly welcomed :-)

PS Brayner - You needed to read the next 100 pages where all your questions were answered! LOL

I knew you would be back fella, one of the better away posters imho, very suttle/clever when you first joined.

i appreciate that but not sure others appreciated me!!! LOL

As for Ronaldo. He wont come just postering for a new improved contract at Madrid!! But Cavani looks nailed on and I think a holding midfield player, unless Essien is back to his best.

In your honest opinions!?!?! What position will Place finish? we'll win it!

I thought Mourinho was after Alonso who I think would be a good signing.

I personally can't make any predictions until we get a few signings in. I'm hearing the chairman is very optimistic and is going let Holloway give it a good go so that sounds pretty positive.

The thing we have in our favour is there are a good few clubs who are of a similar size to us and could easily go down. Cardiff and Hull for starters we need to finish above, but then you got Norwich, Fulham, Southampton, Swansea, Stoke and even West Brom could have a big comedown next season. I think we have a very good chance if we make some clever signings. If we can survive the first season I honestly think we'll be good side in the league in a few years once we get the stadium and infrastructure sorted.

Your chairman looks a lot brighter then the last one and seems to want to spend a good deal of the money on your infrastructure. I think you are spot on, a few good signings and a good couple of loans deals and you can stay up. Need two years before can create a consistency and then build slowly.
Dont think any players will come from Madrid. Think Alonso fantastic player and could play the holding role for us perfectly but dont think he will come.
Have to be honest am not sure about Holloway. Felt that when he was Blackpool manager they surprised a few teams but when the sides had worked them out he couldnt change it, hence they went down.Appears a good motivator but not sure on his tactical brain but you guys see him a lot more than me.

Am quite amazed by the amount of responses from Palace fans who are negative about promotion (see main forum). I am old enough to remember the 'good old days' when football was football- apparently!!!! What I recall was poor stadium, a culture of hate and violence, poor pitches and poor football- generally. I really dont get it - sorry.
Embrace the change, use the money wisely and enjoy!!

Same memories as me Pink. Slightly different tact but on the same lines:
You watch the Spanish U21 players and people ask, 'Why can't we be like that?'. Well the main reason is the stupid English culture of wanting players who just run all day and 'put a shift in'. Players who have more muscle then brain, ie Championship and most English Premiership players. We need to get away from the 'good old days' nonsense and encourage ENGLISH players to be clever and skillful. I'd rather watch Silva, Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Aguero, Tevez, Kagawa,Ronaldo, Van Persie, Cardoza and on and on and on.......... all day everyday.

PS also like Zaha (fair play to Palace for him)

i appreciate that but not sure others appreciated me!!!

Holloway will be clever with his signings though, and I think some good championship players will come our way... I look forward to both matches against Chelsea, and Stamford Bridge is a ground I would love to go to...

Had some tear ups back in the day at yours, always vastly outnumbered mind. Not to many at palace though, few in the ground, happy days ? Not really.

14 Dec at yours and 29th March at ours...fancy a beer Chelski ?

Have we just witnessed the start of an online love affair?

Welcome to the premiership!! Thought you were going to mess it up leading in to the play offs but fair play to you for coming through them.

Looking forward to my trip to Selhurst where am sure we will be warmly welcomed :-)

PS Brayner - You needed to read the next 100 pages where all your questions were answered! LOL

I knew you would be back fella, one of the better away posters imho, very suttle/clever when you first joined.
