Jimbo! And that goal against Ipswich in September 1979. Before that, Steve Kember was my hero and when they played together in that team of 1979 it was brilliant. But Jim Cannon was the one who really made us all proud to be Palace fans.

Ambrose and Zaha in recent years. Ambrose scored some of the best goals I've seen from a Palace player and Zaha is/was just pure excitement.

Michael Hughes. Legend. Michael Hughes. Wholeheardly agree. Hated him when he played for opposition (good sign)but loved him as he was brilliant for us. Superb midfielder, hard worker with a good degree of nastiness which is essential. Can still picture superb header he scored at Holmesdale end in high scoring match against??
lo Selhurst silva felix, lo Selhurst cara nutrix, viget, vigeat, vigebit! Best team:- Jackson; Gilbert, Evans, Cannon, Sansom; Hughes, Kember, McNichol; Byrne, Holton, Wright. |

Speroni I'd say. Then Wright/Bright/Salako in the team of the early 90s and maybe going a little further back either Jim Cannon or Kenny Sansom.
