From SLP

There are no plans in the short term to increase the capacity of Selhurst Park.

"We've had a look at a couple of areas but nothing is really suitable because of access and health and safety," said Parish. "We're not standing still on that front and there is a stadium development that is a major thing I can't talk about yet.

"The intention is to redevelop the White Horse Lane End and then the Main Stand.

"We'd do the White Horse Lane End first as it would only drop our capacity by 2,5000 - then the main stand. For it to work we've got to stay in this league. We've got to get the time right."

I've always wondered why we cant have a purpose built , state of the art stadium along the A23 corridor adjacent to the Croydon Airport area, there is a stack of land there , construction could commence without any issues with SP, SP could be sold to Sainsburys for a fortune extend the Tramlink and Bobs your uncle everything could be sorted in 18 months.

Terrible transport links, no parking spaces, no pubs and more importantly it's too far from Crystal Palace.

If we were Croydon FC then fair enough, we can move anywhere within the borough of Croydon. But we are Crystal Palace FC so we MUST stay as near as possible to our original home.

theres enough land over there to park nigh on a couple of hundred thousand cars

Why the f**k would anyone want us to move to the arse end of Croydon? We'd lose 1000's of fans and frankly i'd be one. We are Crystal Palace FC, i think some people forget this.
Personally if we had to move i'd leave Croydon all together and head North into the heart of South London.

If we have to stay and do up Selhurst then why not try and ground share with someone for a season or two? surely we couldn't redevelop while we're in the Prem!!

West Ham would probably allow us or Fulham?

And can you imagine the traffic? Purley way is already like a car park at the best of times. And the land you are talking about - I doubt we would be allowed to build on green space - there's very little of it in London as it is!

Whilst I don't share your irrational hatred of Croydon I do agree with you. Unfortunately there's no space north of Selhurst.

If we did move to say Lambeth, I can see the residents, council and media claiming crystal palace as a Lambeth club and thus you'll start an irrational hatred of all things Lambeth!

Fulham would be my choice or Clowns. If we develop Selhurst one stand at a time we will be four years with a three sided stadium which would impact on atmosphere and possibly threaten our Prem status. Give it two years, establish ourselves, move out for a year and do it in one hit. Main stand and Whitehorse would come down but you could possibly revamp the AW within it existing structure.

Yup, and as that's what SP has already indicated. It's where the clever money should be. The nutty speculation, when the owners have spoken, is a waste of breath.
