I repeat: it's OUR day. Not theirs.

Exactly!

A day to celebrate one of the greatest managerial achievements in modern day sport. To take a team that was not rated by anyone, rock bottom for the first part of the season and have them perform so well is something very special.

Totally agree it's our night and not theirs. Our players should do multiple laps of honour for the amazing season they have given us.

With the match being on Sky, if we lose and that's a big if and the dirty scousers win the title you can bet Redknapp and whatever other ex-Liverpool pundit they have on will be creaming in their pants.

Win, lose or draw lets just sing our hearts out so loud out at the final whistle and if the mug scousers have won it, just drown out their fans and any interviews they are doing on the pitch and make it our night!!

Yes which is why it should be an amazing atmosphere. If Liverpool have something to celebrate to, the Sky Cameras are in for a massive treat. I'd expect some cracking banter from the two sets of supporters. Both sets of supporters on the pitch at the final whistle. Lap of honours from both sets of players. Really want Liverpool to wrap it up before they play us so this can happen.

Very unsurprised to see some of the comments by the usual suspects. We really do have some f*cking idiots supporting Palace.

Singing YNWA is a silly suggestion but some of the posts about it being 25 years and should get over it is classless.

96 football fans died. 96. Regardless of if you have a fake 'hatred' for Liverpool you should really have empathy for fans who didn't make it home from a football match.

I dispair.

What the people who are munching away on Liverpools bell ends.

Think he meant all the fans basically telling liverpool to f#$k off or worse... yeah support palace but why so much hate??? Would've thought it was enough to hate brighton, charlton, man u, cantona, millwall, cardiff, tan, box office, daily mirror, daily mail, standing, sitting, talksport, savage, hansen, fellow fans and all the rest of it... we don't have to sing their song but we could be decent, show our support for palace and respect them too if they win the prem - it doesn't happen that often.

I think you're missing people's point.

Yes, 96 people died. It was a tragic event. It shouldn't have happened. There was a conspiracy to cover up police mishandling of it. It's right that those responsible be held to account. It's also right that the anniversary be observed. Jesus, it's been impossible to ignore it.

There does not appear to be the same degree of public hand-wringing down Merseyside way for the 39 spectators who died at Heysel as a result, directly or indirectly, of the actions of Liverpool supporters. This resulted in English teams being banned from European competition, ourselves included. That on its own is enough to cause a degree of resentment.

Our forthcoming game against Liverpool is our last home fixture this season. It may well be the day Liverpool win the title. However, it is OUR day, our day to congratulate and cheer OUR players at OUR ground to acknowledge what has been the most phenomenal season in our recent history.

Whoever wins the title is a matter of supreme indifference to me. What I'm not going to do is even acknowledge what Liverpool have achieved. Not on THAT day. It belongs to US. They have a home fixture the following week. What they do at Anfield is their business.

I dislike the way that Liverpool constantly plays on being the hard done by victim. I dislike the public fellatio surrounding them and the obsequious fawning around them. I consider our achievements this season the absolute equal of theirs, if not greater.

I think this is the view held by all the posters in this thread who object to 'sharing' the day with them and I'm struggling to understand why you interpret this as 'hatred'. The majority of us still resent Liverpool denying us our shot at Europe. We don't buy into their 'poor me' mentality. Why, therefore, is their winning the title something that we should celebrate?

I repeat: it's OUR day. Not theirs.

This with bells on!

The fact this thread has made 11 pages is a real concern.
Some of you forget what team you support at times. Why is anybody interested in Liverpool.
"Sing your never walk alone"
"Glad to watch them win title at Selhurst"
What cr-p

These kind of comments embarrass most palace fans. These comments are why we are called NIGELS and that pis-es me off. Some of you give people like Durham all the ammo he needs to ridicule us, which leads to Millwall and Brighton continuing the wisecracks.

If you want to sing your never walk alone or watch Liverpool win the title PI-S off and support them

As above I don't hate Liverpool. I hate the thought of them taking OUR day and the fact we have some supports more then keen to make it Liverpools day rather then our own.

Yep the game is about palace and i don't think singing ynwa is a good idea. You're right about it being our day, and i didn't say that palace fans should celebrate liverpool winning the title. In the same way that the cardiff fan at the end of the game at theirs shook the hands of palace fans and applauded us it was the thought of showing respect but not necessarily supporting others.
