My list of goalkeepers if we're playing fantasy football.
1) Butland(although depends on begovic situation). Would happily pay 5-10 mill for him, brilliant goalie.
2)Baumann, young and very good(Hoffenhim.)
3) Zieler( Hannover) . Another young german keeper, and i'd argue we're a step up from hannnover.
4)Timo Horn. Maybe not as good as those above, but he's only 21, big future ahead of him.

Bas Dost.

Don't care if he costs £15mill or even £20mill.

Plus a goalie, two defenders and another striker. Your three are sound.

£45mill transfer budget. Yes, please.

Dost wouldn't come to us, it'd be a step down. Wolfsburg will be in the Champions League next year!

I've heard Ryan Innis is working wonders at Port Vale and they're desperate to sign him.. Maybe worth hanging onto? Believe he's only 19..

Injured his ankle yesterday, plus got a nice collection of yellows in double quick time

Innis is still learning and this is the result of his loan. Yellow cards and league 'buffeting' is what we should hope he gets. Hopefully, though, the injury isn't so bad. When the world's at your feet and you receive a painful blow the subsequent thoughts must be horrifying.

4 in the summer for me.

Jordan Rhodes - Cash + Murray. Would love Murray to stay but the reality is , if we stay up we need to move on to the next level. Rhodes would be an upgrade. Unproven at Premiership level, but worth a shout in my opinion.

Jose Fonte - Worth a shot? Good experience to go alongside Dann. Pardew knows him well as we all do and Southampton could well be in a position to sell and be themselves looking to upgrade in that position. Dann - Fonte would be a realistic and excellent 1st choice defensive partnership.

Tyrone Mings - Unlikely with bigger clubs probably sniffing around but we still need another LB in my opinion. Verdict is still out on Souare and with Fryers clearly not up to this level, establishing yourself in The Prem means at least 2 quality players in competition for the same position.

Jack Butland - Young and already has Premiership and National experience. Not getting regular football at Stoke and I think is well capable of going straight into the team. Would be a very similar signing to Nigel Martyn when we signed him in terms of age and experience. I would suspect Hennessey would move on if we did sign a keeper of Butland's stature and if so I would be more than happy as Jules being back up for one more season before he maybe becomes a coach at the club. I just don't believe that either Jules or Hennessey are good enough to be our number 1 next season and take us to the next level.

Key player for a team challenging for the Champions League....not a hope in hell he would come back.

Rhodes has had a poor season, they want £8m for him which is too steep for an unproven poacher who offers little else, especially when his goals may be drying up...would much prefer Austin. Remy I think is also unlikely.

Butland good shout if he'll come, he won't wait for ever at Stoke.

Mings decent but feel we should give Souare a chance first

If, IF we stay up then we need a CB as good or better than Scott Dann to play alongside Scott Dan.

Two forwards - if we are splashing the cash, then Remy and Austin and I would wet my pants but I suspect we would be getting Gestede plus one as one as he fits our profile for signings better.

If Fryers don't come on then its time to look at LB cover as well.

I think we are also looking at a new GK. Ruddy is a good shout but Norwich are likely to be a PL side by then.

Perhaps more pertinent is who goes out of the door ??

Sanogo and Ameobi will be off - cant see us wanting to keep either. GM could also be on his way. Damo Delaney and Hunt I also think will be off, possibly Hangeland as well.

Also, rumour has it that Fonte is the reason that Pards lost his job at Soton. If anyone with a fresher memeory would care to elaborate on the reason then please remind me

Without trying to stalk you, I think that's pretty much spot on.

We need a good young center half, if we don't have one coming through.

Not sure if Kelly will be moved to center half or stay as cover for the fullbacks.

As for the forwards, Rudy Gestede has looked good when I have seen him (only a couple of times on telly).

As for a goalkeeper, I would like to see someone like Timo Horn the German U21 international. I think that if Hennessey is not the long term replacement for Speroni, then we should look at getting in a young keeper for Speroni to work with (or as a replacement if the worst comes true).

I can see Hangeland and Ameobi going at the end of their contracts. Hunt has had good reviews, so he might be able to do a job at right back as back up to Ward. Fryers probably needs time and games (possibly a season's long loan somewhere if the club thinks he can come good).

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Think Rhodes would be a poor signing given what we have and his £10m+ price tag.

A striker, CB and GK seem clear. What about a quality well rounded CM? I reckon in the last 5 or 6 games, when all our midfielders are fit and off suspension, we'll see who Pardew really likes in midfield.

What if the takeover is being kept secret until summer?
