Good call. The only problem I had with Babylon five is the some of the filler on the show was so bad it actually felt painful. But in terms of seasons 2-4, and the second half of season 5, its hard to fault with the storylines and development. Apparently its been re-optioned for a remake.

But seasons 3 and 4 were truly epic.

Sorry to say this but a few years ago I invested in the Boys from the Blackstuff box set and it's pretty much unwatchable.

I did this with 'the Professionals'. Tripe.

Funny, it used to be good when I was 8.

1. Banshee
2. GOT
3. Breaking Bad
4. Blacklist
5. Walking Dead

I managed to watch about 30 mins of this before I had to turn it off. I thought it was junk.

It's funny reading this thread. Most people have as their top 5 a mixture of things I think are absolutely amazing and stuff I think is junk.

On IMDB, which is often reliable, most of the box sets recommended here get between 8.2 and 8.6. Some are worth it, some are worth about half that. I guess you just have to give things a go, you're the only one who knows what you like.

Strongly disagree, the ratings on IMDB are terrible and not worth considering.

You do realise there ratings are always based on user reviews? And seeing as it's the most popular on screen reviewing site, it's seen as logically the most reliable which does make sense...

Yep, i know but it doesn't then logically follow that it is then the most reliable. A lot of people will watch any old rubbish and rate it highly. They are wrong. Example - Breaking Bad, 9.5 on IDMB and boring as anything....

The IMDB rating system works on average so that the rating given for productions like Breaking Bad will be the average of the hundreds who have liked it and the one or two that didn't

Yes. I still understand how it works and that all the people who liked it were wrong.

that's why I love the Sweeney , doesn't really date , still as hard hitting when it was first made and great seeing London in the 70`s .

no mentions of the the original versions of the bridge or the killing ?????

I loved breaking bad , I wouldn't say it was the best ever , but I have one question ,spoiler alert !!! I know the air traffic controllers daughter and Jessie thing but the plane crash seems so superfluous to the whole thing .

I'll make myself unpopular with some I am sure, but I re-watched the first series of Oz a couple of weeks ago. It has *not* aged well.

Still a good show. But nothing more. And the weird Augustus Hill soliloquies just don't really work.
