I can't see anywhere in the Evening Standard story - which is what the Mirror headline is based on - that supports the £28m quoted. Remy would go for nothing like £28m. I would be very surprised if he commanded a fee above £10m but I guess we'll see. Remy would surely be a supplement to an additional purchase so I don't think it is a big issue for me. I'd be quite happy with him as backup striker.

Sun are also suggesting this along with hitc so seems credible. I'm not againt remy but I don't know if we can pin our hopes for goals on someone who's barely played for 2 years. I'm hoping as showing an intrest in other strikers is to jolt Liverpool into thinking hang on we could be stuck with benteke unless we strike a deal.
