He talks about how Brexit affects Premiership football, which only matters to people like him

In fact, as he points out, Brexit has been detrimental to a club like Palace with the devaluation of the pound which has cost the club more on transfer fees and wages, bigger clubs can easily absorb such costs but Palace have to compete on the same level. He also speculates, as most Brexiters do, about hope of what might happen rather than any concrete benefits

Doesn't say much for him, siding with Brexit, without any tangible benefits.

The PL already has a wide influx from non EU countries.

The next time someone bangs one in against Palace, it will probably be one of them...….

And all you do is speculate! None of us have crystal balls.

Why leave if you don't know the benefits?

I suppose to his credit he does identify some specific benefits but again, only for a premiership football club, not the country

If other clubs are recruiting Brazilian players and not us, it has nothing to do with leaving the EU.

That's because in my opinion he is a typical exponent of Brexit, where he stands to personally benefit so parrots it's virtues for purely selfish reasons knowing he is insulated from any economic downfall and turmoil.

In that article does he ever refer to how it affects ordinary Palace fans and their families who might be on an average income? Exactly

I don’t speak for other people but no I don’t. That’s clearly suicidal at this point in history.

TBH voting for selfish reasons is pretty much standard i would think.
Why else would anyone vote?

Like anyone with a positive mindset, rather than a sulker, would. He doesn’t need to mention the global market including emerging markets and the contracting EU markets, it’s well known and has been the continuing trend for over 10 years.

But Parish says: “We’re going to leave, by the looks of it, so we’ve got to make the best of it, in a lot of industries. I’m prepared to be positive about anything. We’ve got a great country, a great economic system. Nothing is perfect at all and we need to do more. But the more we can create economically, the better it is for anybody. To have more to share is always best. “How can we continue to do the best economically as a country that has the sixth-biggest economy in the world, continue to grow, try to create greater prosperity for everybody? By grasping the opportunities presented to us, or make an opportunity out of the things that are presented to us. “For me, there are too many people who are just seeing negative economic consequences of the decision that the country voted for.” He adds: “This is happening so we need to be positive about it. We need to find ways of making it an advantage, rather than constantly convincing ourselves it will be worse. I can only talk about my industry: I see a world of opportunities if we play it right. I can’t imagine that isn’t true of other industries, if people put their minds to it. “I suspect that there are lots of reasons why people want to remain in the EU and very good reasons some of them, very emotional reasons some of them. Maybe it’s driven by an overriding sense to stay in the EU rather than a particularly analytical view of what might or might not be better for your industry. “I think it’s become a truth that it’ll be economically worse. It’s been spun that way, because you know all the things you won’t have the day you leave. It takes an imagination to think about the things you might be able to do. “Surely if we become visibly more diverse in football and more welcoming that’s a great signal to the world.”

I didn't.
I voted leave knowing things would be tough for a while but ultimately it would be better when my kids are adults

Quite right.

Oldies might remember the time when Mrs Thatcher was deeply unpopular and was set to lose the next election when Labour came out with their policy of renationalising all of the utilities without paying compensation.

When the utilities were nationalised many of the shares were bought by the ordinary working man who had never owned shares before and they were all sitting on a tidy profit so rather than lose their nest egg they voted for the Conservatives instead
