My "predictions of doom and gloom" aren't mine at all! They are where the consensus of export opinion lies.

Actually I am far less worried about the short term issues. No doubt there will be some disruption but we will muddle through as we always do. Where there is a will and way will be found.

I am much more concerned about the long term implications of separating ourselves from the EU regulatory regime and the power that such a big organisation brings to trade agreements and in world affairs. The regulatory regime aspect of this is hardly ever discussed but is actually one of the biggest downsides of us leaving.

You waffle on with wordy posts when all you need to say is that you wish to thwart Brexit by any means.

The latest look at the odds suggests that Brexit is most likely this year - well duh! - but then odds for a post 2020 Brexit are still not massive at 6/5. I suppose it's as result of it being uncharted territory.

Also a 2019 No Deal Brexit at 13/10 is still seen to be less likely to happen than a Deal at 4/7 even this late in the day. Will the EU buckle, or BoJo? Or No-one? It's worth stating that the NO to No deal odds include multiple outcomes though - a ratified withdrawl agreement, and extended article 50.

The European Union has been blamed for many of the serious problems in British society, including the power of vacuum cleaners and the shape of bananas, and a new charge must now be added: football’s handball rule.

The former Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has bizarrely claimed that the EU is responsible for Gabriel Jesus’s late goal for Manchester City against Tottenham being disallowed.

Do you include Mark Carney who changed his mind?

We are a service driven economy yet many of those services are not covered by the single market. I heard one businessman explain that it was easier for him to do business in Asia than in the EU which still protects many of its service sectors.

Germany and France have done well out of the EU because the rules play to the strength of their economies perhaps if they had liberalised the service sectors for us we might not be complaining so much.

I'm sure you did, on 13 March 2019 and I quote:

Currently my kids and everyone I speak to below the age of 25 blooming hates you and others like you

So maybe they will change their view. Or maybe the EU is right and they will take us back in when they realize the cost/benefit balance and when they have the power back from the generation that 'knew better than them'.
