No the point I was trying to make is that the issues have become muddled when they should be quite separate.

Did anyone else hear that snippet of information about how seriously Libya are acting to prevent people smugglers taking refugees to Greece on R4's Today Programme yesterday? Apparently their main Coastguard is a fisherman that also owns a restaurant, which is his main job. Hard to imagine the people smugglers being able to launch their inflatable boats under that level of surveillance by the Coastguard.

I'm generally in agreement with the out vote, but probably for more left wing views regarding the exploitation of workers, corporate favouritism in EU legislation over national interests and the end of cheap labour to drive down wage demands.

In all fairness to Libya, its not really a country anymore, but a series of quasi-state groups jostling for power.
