23 June is a designated rest day at the euros. If we're through to the next round,l'm in, if we're out then I'm out.

And any less than a top 6 finish at Eurovision and they can all feck off.

Ignoring the humour Lucas... don't you think the Eurovision Song Contest is kind of a barometer for how popular the UK is with the rest of Europe?

Generally we are despised by our so called European compatriots who can each hardly muster a vote for us and we only make the final every year because we are given a bye as one of the founding nations of the competition.

I'm an OUT for the Eurovision, as well as the EU.

Think they've changed the voting system this year so the people have more of a say, this will be even more depressing when millions show their contempt. It's a pile of s*** competition that means nothing but it is a barometer of how much countries like each other.

Would love England to win the Euro champs (yes I know we're not as good as the top nations but stranger things have happened), whilst voting to leave Europe mid tournament.

I agree with this. I think that there is the odd country that thinks we're OK but on balance they despise us. I'm a definite out for the EU and a maybe for Eurovision - but only because it's a useful reminder of how territorial the whole place really is.

Not as well as the Soviet Union did...

They did NOTHING.

Lucky the British government had done so much to protect UK industry such as the Steel and Coal business.

The flip side is that power generation has benefited from cheaper feed stock and fabricators benefited from cheaper steel.

It thought the EU had it's back Jamie, but that turned out to be a fallacy.... the EU just wants the UK's massive positive contribution to the coffers and then redistribute it to French Farmers.

However, no one is saying the Soviet Union has been responsible for peace in Europe since World War II, whereas the 'in' supporters claim that the EU has.
For someone who says he is voting 'out', you seem to spring to the defence of the moribund EU at every opportunity.

The EU wants what is best for corporate entities, not the people who work in industries or countries, but the businesses that dominate them.

It was more of a flippant joke, about how the Soviet managed to keep the Balkans peaceful for 50 odd years, and within a few years of independence, they're dominated by right wing nationalist f**ktards engaging in genocide as policy.

I think there is more to an issue, than just simply deciding yes or no. My reasons for leaving the EU, are probably very different than many others - who seem to think leaving the EU will make 'Britain Great or give the people of Britain greater say or somehow magically transform society into a different nation.

It won't, but it will weaken the capacity of corporate interests to dominate UK politics and provide a position from which the working classes and trade unions could essentially improve their position in terms of wage leverage.

Which has benefitted the EU and corporate interests. Less so however the people who live in areas dependent on the Steel and Coal production - many of which are unemployment black spots.

I'm against the EU, because it further undermines the position of the working classes.
