Let's hope that, this time, he's got all his ducks in a row and any 'announcement' is actually realisable and not more pie in the South London sky like this:

I love Selhurst Park, but can't help feeling I'm not the only one to see that initial plan as the ultimate dream.

I do hope that this time we're going to announce something that will actually happen, for all our sakes and to shut up the laughing hyenas on the south coast:

I never wanted to give them a thorough footballing tonking more than I do on the 28th.

I've got a feeling it may well just be that they've finally come to an agreement with Sainsburys, which would be fairly major, kind of.

Problem is I still can't help feeling that actually implementing anything could still be a long way off, with Parishes DNA of trying to short-change the f*** out of everyone and everything.

I agree. It would have solved the ground and training ground problems in a single hit and has much more scope for improving the infrastructure.

He doesn't.

He flits in between being In or Out of the know.

He had no texts about Pulis being sacked by WBA so he obviously has no contacts.

Hogwash.

I have never come on HOL and announced that I am "In the know".
I am just a mere mortal who relies on information that is in the public domain.
I am just a humble chap and no omniscient sage.

I wouldn't be shocked exactly as the board have considered a move away before. We've been knocked back on the training ground proposals and we can't seem to agree a plan with Sainsbury's, plus we'd likely be in for a right battle with the residents. Also, it could explain why we've seen no applications to Croydon Council with respect to Selhurst Park. Whatever, we'll find out soon enough.

As far as I was aware outside of CPP and the athletics stadium there were no alternative options.. and with the all the most recent talk from Parish being about replicating the Liverpool model

I've no idea whether the 'Liverpool solution' is possible at SP, but I agree with you that there do seem to be some almost insurmountable infrastructure problems, even were it possible to introduce more parking on site.

It is...but the issue of the 'strip' of car park that any such development would impede on would need to be sorted...perhaps it has (?)

Well if it all finally happening then I suppose congrats are in order for the Board, but it is a shame that their shambolic transfer dealings have us with one foot in the Championship. I doubt we will fill our new stand(S) there.
We could close the Main Stand in the Championship and still fit everyone in.

I'm 95% sure it's gonna be a refurb of SP.

1) There are no other viable sites in Croydon - CPP would take require permission from several boroughs and as I understand it, Bromley are strongly against it, along with athletics and local NIMBYs, making it virtually impossible.

2) Not renewing the lease on the bakery near the fan zone "due to proposed stadium redevelopments", along with crystals, which I never got to visit.

3) parish's wording "what we've put together" is not a phrase with which you allude to a brand new stadium, built from scratch.
