What I love about London is its high level of tolerance. And I think we in South London possibly more than most. We will even tolerate boozed up morons spouting nonsense until they get genuinely abusive. This guy was so horrible to all and sundry that he needed putting in his place. That was done. Score one to the Palace. Just as Eddie said. And I genuinely believe Stirlingsays would have been one of the 'thought Police' had he been around during the incident. It's probably rather more the tone of the post-event criticism that bugs him. Each to their own. Nothing more to see here.

I hope any decent man would.. i am not perfect a man dressed in feminine ways is something that is noticed but we must not shout down tolerance and decency that results in morons being put in their place. Izzard knew that by walking through Wembley dressed as a women he would get attention and that is what he received. The trouble is when you seek attention you don’t always get the kind you hoped for.

Izzard does not invite aggression and threats upon himself in wearing a sparkly broach and lipstick just as a woman in no way invites threats of rape by wearing a short skirt. We do not need burka "dress as i say or else" mentalities here thankyou.
