'Fare freeze' apparently means something different after the election:

Election promises should be legally binding, with a the punishment for breaking them being expulsion from politics for life and 5 years in prison.

I believe that election promises should constitute a contract and that a breach of such should result in a re-election.

He's going to ban adverts that show fit people in them.

Going straight to the core issues then Sadiq...

Politician in "lying-his-@rse-off-in-an-election-campaign" shocker.

As election lies go, though, this is a pretty blatant and indefensible one. Either hi hadn't costed it, or he lied. there is no way he can claim, well, anything really on this one. "When I said no rises I clearly meant no rises for the over 80s when traveling with both parents"

Unbelievable

Whilst I wasn't a fan of the specific ad mentioned in the article, this reaction is farcical. It's not like we don't have an underlying health issue with obesity or anything.

Apparently he considers it "unhealthy or unrealistic".

Funny that it's a real person in the advert then.

You can be sure this will only apply to images of women, there will be no adverts banned of blokes with 6 packs etc.

Again though I would ask, why do we even have a mayor of London. Utterly facile appointment, given we have mayors in all the London Towns and Local Council and MPs.

My suspicion is something to do with Dick Wittington.
