Any advice on buying freezers (tall) where I can see them. You know what you used to do rather than buying on-line. The more freezers I can look at the better.

Went to a Tesco's Superstore but was told to look at them go to a Tesco's Extra in Purley.

Thanks.

Go to Iceland (the shop, not the country) with a friend. You should both wear white or brown overalls and take a clipboard and tape measure with you. Preferably also have a large bunch of keys hanging from your belt.

Then just find the freezer you want, measure it, pick it up and walk out with it.

Never fails.

I take it you will be putting it inside the house?
Yes I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I had a freezer in my garage, when the outside temp dropped the freezer stopped working, apparently if you are going to put it in an out-house/shed/garage you need to buy a special one that will work in temperatures below 5 degrees. I was unaware of this until all my meat went soft!

Yes, putting in the house, but have noticed some have a required room temp on the range starting as high a 10c. Thanks for reminding me to look out for that.

Yup - and buy German. Cost more but look great, work great and have the lifespan measured in geological terms.

I have had a Liebherr for many years.

If you actually want to see one then I'd recommend John Lewis. But do some research before you buy as they will price match (but their customer service and warranties tend to be better)

Can't argue with this. Has been a year or two since I used them but I seem to remember they delivered within two days? Great on price too
