Who's going to run for the Tory leadership?

I think having May lead it would be a major olive branch given she was an (albeit muted) remainer. I don't know what her take on what position we adopt (indeed Boris is heavily leaning towards an EEA / "Flexit" option). I'm very sure she was about as enthused with the Remain position as Corbyn was. May to lead, with cabinet positions for Boris, Gove, IDS, Fox and (TBH, I think she deserves it) Gisela Stuart.

I think you're mostly correct here (candidate-wise).

I think having May lead it would be a major olive branch given she was an (albeit muted) remainer. I don't know what her take on what position we adopt (indeed Boris is heavily leaning towards an EEA / "Flexit" option). I'm very sure she was about as enthused with the Remain position as Corbyn was.

Good points on May.

Yes, but the tradition of not having to worry about it once they vote you out of power isn't that big a concern career wise, if you've been a prominent cabinet member.

If it's EEA membership, I'm afraid it would include free movement, but I'm not sure if there could be limitations e.g. EU migrants needing to have a job lined up.

I've met him a few times, as he was MP for where I grew up and has some roots around there. He is exceptionally intelligent, well educated, but articulation isn't his strong point, that said we were mostly talking about the classical theatre and the Illiad.
