No idea, but it'll be another one to be racked and stacked:

I'd prefer it if we concentrated on realistic signings, who can go straight into the first team and are an upgrade on what we already have.

Doesn't our academy have promising young players rather than having to raid the French second division?

Our transfer policy needs to be all encompassing:

Recruit 2-3 really high quality players a year (more if injuries occur)

Recruit 3-5 youngsters / lower league with potential

Continue to develop the academy

Establish a good loan policy where we can get players out at decent clubs gaining real beneficial experience. e.g. Kaikai & Appiah to good Championship teams next season.

I am sure we are focusing on all aspects of transfer activity. Just because we are reported to be looking at a young 19 year old defender does not mean we are not also in discussions for several first team players. We are more than a one trick pony these days.

As for our academy well surely the answer is 'apparently not.' The lads of an age whereby the first team becomes a possibility have been with us since our days in the Championship. There may be the odd one or two who make it but we will not have the volume of young talent that naturally gravitates towards PL clubs. I expect that the youngsters who have joined in the last year or two are more likely to make the grade than many of those currently 18 or over.

True. Our academy became better under Jordan but is currently no way near as good as some people on here think it is. It is apparently a long way short of Cat A status

I believe it is now a priority to use part of the US investment to vastly upgrade the academy to bring it up to the standards of our competitors. It will take some time before the improvements are all implemented [I think we are still looking for a training ground that is not subject to regular flooding]. And it will take some time longer before we can reap the benefits of what we sow.

In the meantime, we need to bolster the senior echelons of our academy with imports from somewhere in order to have those very players from the academy who we can loan out and/or gradually feed in to the senior team.
