Was walking past one of these a few years ago with a work colleague (an Indian Gentleman) who for the purposes we shall call Jim.

Amnesty Chugger "good day, can I talk to you about Amnesty" -

Jim "no thanks"

AC follows continuing to try and start up a conversation but eventually gives up.

On the way back Amnesty Chugger sees us again

AC "so you came back, now can I talk to you about Amnesty as human rights are important"

J "no thank you"

AC "do you know how the world would be without Amnesty and the work we do"

J (without stopping) - "well I'd be enjoying a peaceful walk without hindrance and interference which I believe are two conerstones of your policies - now F*** off"

At which point AC decided to be clever and ask

AC "have you any idea the work we do in the place where you come from?"

J - "what, Fulham?"

To be fair he gave up after that.

I definitely feel serener than I did that day.
