I am very proud to have been born in South London and grew up on a rough council estate but the majority of South London is nothing like it was 25-30 years ago as their is very little sense of community left and some areas areas are just vile. Well said. I was born at Mayday hospital , lived and educated in Thornton heath and my mother still lives there now . The place is a dump. I am proud of my club and what we are and what we have achieved. But I don't sugar coat the place. Thornton Heath high street I despair at the state of the place . My mum was born and raised in south Norwood and Woodside and she describes the decline of the place as terminal. The rest of us have moved out of the area , she sadly is stuck there

Still fond of Croydon/Couldson/New Addington as a lot of my family still lived there until quite recently and I had nice times there. I'm sure I couldn't sell any of them to holiday makers though, but I defend them to people that slag them off. Especially people that haven't been there. People that have been to these places though...fair cop!
