Gotta say I am sick up and fed with people slagging off Croydon I have said it many times. I choose to live in Croydon. I wouldn't fancy living in Selhurst or Thornton Heath but anywhere in the South of Croydon is fine. I have lived around Addiscombe most of my life and as far as I am concerned it's holding its own despite losing both its stations. In fact South Norwood seems to be improving. I like visiting places in e.g. Sussex, they are very nice. But when I have had choices I have stayed in Croydon, there must be a reason. People blanket bombing Croydon with their bile and hatred really get on my wick. Best places I ever lived were Miri and Galle, great places and great people. But they aren't home and you can't rely on a cynical wise crack when you need one.
