Well I'm going to leave a lot of you to throw whats left of your toys out of your collective adult prams and make baby noises on here for the rest of the night but I am made of sterner stuff.I was brought up on 80's 2nd and 3rd Division football when there was a certain amount of pride in defeat as long as you had a go.This was a throwback to those days although we play far better football now.Yes we lost in the last minute but we didn't deserve it and for 45 minutes we played with passion, pride and the spirit with which we should all be proud about.Gutting yes but disheartening absolutely not,we will come good soon despite the Pardew out crowd. How people cant enjoy watching a game of football like that I will never know other than to put it down to self-entitlement.Yes we want to win and we lost trying to achieve that but give me that rather than 10 behind the ball and 25% possession every day of the week.Have a good night everyone.

It was entertaining to be sure but I can't find myself agreeing on 'very unlucky'. We defended so poorly that they only had to vaguely approach the goal in order to score.

Technically incompetent, tactically naïve (why would you leave yourself so open at the back so late!) and another totally unacceptable result against a side we are expected to beat. We looked far better playing with 2 dedicated strikers up front and when gifted the penalty we should be taking home a point at least.

A very good 2nd. half to go with the garbage 1st. Zaha and Townsend played good 2nd. halves but the rest weren't worthy of the shirt. I hope we take advantage of the international break and work on our set pieces and corners, both woefully inadequate.

It's going to be another long slog this season and I for one will be surprised if AP survives.

Man City next. Got to wonder if that's the game when Pardew will get the sack.

Not much point sacking him after that game we will lose anyway. The way we defend i can see City scoring 7 against up. Get rid now and bring in Allardyce to teach our buffoons how to defend

I think Millen is part of the problem. Perhaps if Pardew had a better no 2 to help sort us out defensively then we wouldn't be in this position? We shall see what happens during this international break. It's a good time to make a change if it is going to happen?

Clearly the defensive coaching needs to change. I'd get an experienced ex defender on the payroll as soon as possible and allow them space to develop the back line.

I think one of our biggest problems is we have no leader on the pitch...why didn't dann tell players not to all go forward.someone needs to organise things on the pitch.

We supposedly have experienced and leaders at the back in Dann, Delaney, Mandanda and Cabaye. On of them should have taken charge there. Cabaye I think it was was not deep enough, which left I think Dann on his own.

Also think the Ledley substitution was a mistake.

Well said. We went toe to toe and f***ed it up last minute. Naive, yes clearly, but a f***ing brilliant game all the same. I have my reservations about Pardew, but until there is a better, realistic alternative (yet to have heard one frankly), then for all his failings and arrogance, we need to get behind him and the team

I've been a supporter of his, but I can't understand why we start games so badly...and that can only be down to bad preparation.

Exactly the type of mentality I've been talking about. What kind of manager in their right mind after fighting back from 2-0 down throws everyone forward for a free kick, leaving one defender at home in the 94th minute ? he single handedly lost palace if not 3 points then definatly 1 point. Furthermore we looked much much better with 2 up top, but if he still has a job, come the city game I bet we go back to just the one.

I stand by my opinion that he is a chancer, a gambler, and has no idea what team he should play against any of the teams we have played against until he watches the game in realk time. That is simply poor management. He will take us down.

Thorwing that many forward in the last seconds of a game is idiotic, naive, stupid, and downright dumb.

Very unlucky? Three goals ctonceded to Burnley in exactly the same pub team fashion? Winner in the 94th when we know fine well what can happen with 11 men forward Very unlucky?

Completely f***ing incompetent tactically would be my reading.

Razor Ruddock is available. You'd have to allow him a lot of space, mind.
