The club needs to stop flip flopping between attacking managers and defensive ones, look at the trend:

Freedman - Defensive
Holloway - Attacking
Pulis - Defensive
Warnock - ???
Pardew - Attacking

(Warnock doesn't really count in that trend as he was always seen as a temporary solution)

We need just a balanced philosophy, defensively sound, still good on the break, work on the pressing game.

Pardew has some of those elements in place but the defence is too big of a problem under his reign; fewest clean sheets in the Football League since his appointment.

We have the players, any decent manager will get us mid table but we need to be looking beyond this season and at managers that can take us to the next level.

The regurgitation of the 'same old' managers has to stop. It has never been successful for us or others. Fresh face, fresh ideas are the way forward and progress will be maintained not static

Alexi, are you ok? you have gone from defending Pardew to the hilt to wanting him out. Very unlike you! What has swayed you?

It was a combination of the Burnley defeat and Pardew's general ineptitude that made me join the out camp. So I'm thinking straight now

As for a next manager, I don't want Allardyce, Coleman, or Hoddle (god no). I'd rather we take a risk and go for a European manager. But knowing our luck, we'll get Coleman.

I think our club needs to think outside of England if and when Pardew gets sacked. I think the 2 logical candidates are Roberto Mancini and Frank de Boer. Both are available and both would help improve this club moving forward.

The Swansea game is career defining moment for Pardew.
Lose and he is surely gone as has widely been reported in the media.
But with the squad we have, this should be an easy away win and perhaps a chance for Pardew to go on one of his short-lived winning runs.

Got no chance of getting Coleman, he is under contract & has stated he wants to manage abroad after his contract is up.

Please god no. He is no better than what we currently have. And before anyone says look at how well his sides defend, go check out his teams' defensive records. They're worse than AP's.

I would go for Sean Dyche, who has done very well with little money at Burnley, or a foreigner like Eduard Berizzo of Celta.

It is with some sadness that I feel AP has run out of steam at Palace not sure why.

We certainly need to defend better and this cannot be achieved currently. We have a good premier league team but are not playing well enough. The football this year has been entertaining but it is difficult to go each week with a feeling we will lose.

Very sadly we need to go back to a manager who keeps teams up and can regain our defensive strength. I would therefore go for Big Sam.

I do hope that AP will recover but we have a hard few weeks with most hope of winning away games. I think that although the points are close between 9th and 18 th it is the manner in which we never look like winning (apart from Stoke) particularly at home that is of most concern.

I will support the team and have seen Palace endure much more difficult times however we do have a team that should easily finish mid table and it is hard to see how they will get there.

If we do have a change we will be in a relegation struggle. Mancini's experience in the PL is only with Citeh. The hard facts are we need a manager to pull us out of a relegation struggle. In anycase I can't see the owners going with a foreign coach based on previous changes. The obvious candidate is Allardyce assuming it can be ascertained that there is no possible extra fall out from his time as England coach. He has worked at West Ham with a target man attack and surely will be able to do some reorganising of the defence.
