So we want either a manager who with a choice of any English player he wanted picked a team which gets beat by the likes of Iceland or one that narrowly escaped relegation last season?

Sunderland played way better than the sum of their parts, and played quite well at that, IMO. I think BS is easily good enough for us. RH not so much.

To be fair, he had the worst team in the league when he took over, and the general consensus was that he did a very good job keeping them up.

The problem with Big Sam is that his record is no better than AP.

His West Ham team collapsed in the second half of his last season there, and Sunderland improved but were still poor.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Palace are not a good team, we have good players and some that are not quite as good. We will be in the relegation mix, if Alan Pardew remains I would say we have a 50/50 chance of being relegated.
If Big Fat Sam were Manager our chance of staying up improve considerably, in my humble opinion.

If/when Pardew gets sacked i would like Roberto Mancini to be our next manager. PL experience, can organise defence (Italian so in his DNA),and plays decent football.

no to any of the elderly, rusty, corrupt failures lets try a bright young manager from lower leagues

one who is willing to blood academy and youth players

or indeed give glenn murray, a thinking striker, a coaching role!

Parish is not going to get rid of Pardew until we are relegated, and by then we'll be luck to get Ian Holloway!!

Because he's shown over the last few seasons he is not willing to sack someone...

I think next manager could be one of the following:

The ginger one
Eddie Howe
Dougie Freedman

I have a feeling we will look to ex Palace players once again and Chris Coleman will be the new manager by January or announced to be manager at the end of the season.

Would want to spend money and won’t be a Yes man to our egomaniac Chairman. Is he on Twitter yet? Commending us on not losing?
