Would people ever accept that a team like Hull can be a really tight nit group with a siege mentality at this stage of the season are fighting for their lives and with our confidence low can make these ( expected wins ) far from a certainty. We seem to have lost some of this togetherness perhaps being in the Prem for a couple of years does that but some of the sence of entitlement to beat teams and people's thoughts of where we should be now are not helping as the fear of what might happen seems to be transferring from the stands to the players.
There is absolutely no guarantee that changing the manager would help and I admire our chairman for giving our manager as much time as possible to get things right. Us as supporters should be helping as much as we could rather than hindering in my eyes. Perhaps if we are really scrapping for our lives at the end of the season we can get some of that siege mentality back and all pull together.

This has nothing to do with Hull, this is all based on the form over the last 12 months which despite the biggest transfer spend in CP history has left us with a team that cannot beat teams around us, we leak goals like the Titanic leaked water, the manager has said his is not bothered about leaking goals, well that is just daft, he wants to be a top manager playing exciting football, one problem he has forgotten you have to stop teams scoring as well. TP like him or hate him knows how to keep mediocre teams is this league AP skill set would appear to be how to get them relegated!

You have it about right, most of AP signings are players (or his mates) who could not get first team games at their previous clubs all they want is to pick up their inflated wages and they could not give a stuff about CP. AP will take us back to the championship with players who are past it or useless with a wage bill we cannot afford at that level and here we go again struggling for our survival
and existence. Those who want to keep AP in his job are misguided as his form is not supporting this!

I can't recall any Palace manager that has managed to sign first choice players from other Prem clubs.

But, I recall the great transfer business that Holloway and Warnock did. Pulis did pretty well signing from lower leagues, but I don't think that's enough anymore.

I'm happy to get players like Zaha and Benteke who couldn't crack the starting line ups of top teams though. Cabaye hasn't been great, but his signing gave us legitimacy, and paved the way to convince other quality to sign.

Tomkins was a starter a WHU, probably the first time since promotion I can recall Palace signing a prem starter from a good team (at least they were last year).

Townsend has disappointed, but hard to blame Pards for that. The consensus here was that it was a great signing, and he was doing well at a lousy Newcastle side. Hopefully he can find his mojo.

The only Pards signing (not Parish-led) that I think was a clear miss was Mutch --and he was 23, so I see the chance he took. But he's young enough we may get most of it back from a lower level team anyway.

The season isn't calendar based, so the last 12 months don't really matter now, the last 4 do. Last season we finished 15th. Not great, not the worst. This year's team has 4 different starters, it's a different team. Lots of injuries and no depth, but we're 15th. Not great, not the worst.

Biggest transfer spend? Nope. Our net spend was just £7.91m. Yes we bought some expensive players, but we sold some too. Overall, our net spend was 15th in the Prem. 14 teams spend more than us (most a lot more), so there does not seem to be a financial reason why we should be much higher up the table.

AP is a busted Flush, the sooner him, and any of his bulls*** baffles brains influence are eradicated from the club the better we will be.

To see how far we have fallen after what the crook Pulis instilled is nothing short of criminal, and not only does he need to grow a pair and fcuk off, for that is what he should do as "a fan" or "one of us", but Steve parish needs to get out the hair salon long enough to actually sack him.

I can think of no other Business venture where a proven successful businessman would put up with the abject failure that AP has brought to the club.

You can dress it up and make excuses all you like, but the results and goals against column do not lie. And on a slightly separate note (but still related to AP's inadequacy as a manager)Who the fcuk does that French Ponce Cabaye think he is ? To good my arse, if he is the most technically gifted player at the club, then I'm going down the training ground to get a contract, because apparently having s*** hair and no desire to get stuck in, piss poor delivery from the set piece and an erring ability to avoid tackles is what makes you "technically brilliant"

I'm done with AP, nice bloke, but couldn't manage a fcuk in a brothel with bag full of fifty's.

He is still the second most successful manager in win ratio over the last 15 years, only just behind Pulis.

So all your ranting doesn't stack up. We are an average team, with an average manager and always have been for years. So I don't know why people are surprised.

Sorry, please excuse me. I think I have visited the wrong forum.

Could somebody redirect to the "Blame Pardew For Everything" one? There is far too much sense being posted here. I need my fix of pessimistic ranting.

They do, because his rating is 92/92 in the 4 Division and he has a win ratio of just over 18% in PL since last Christmas, I have supported this club since its 3Div South days and guess what I like being in PL and do not want to let it go, I'm happy mid table or even 17th but whilst we are shipping points to the teams around us that we should win against, we are not in a good place.

"Since Last Christmas" isn't really how to measure success or failure. It's cherry picking trends, especially since he was so good before Christmas. Compare seasons to seasons and you have an argument.

"This December, Pardew is undefeated with a 50% win ratio."

So, as we are 15th, and not 9th/10th/11th/12th, you are not happy? But 17th is fine. I get it now!!!!!
