If you are happy with 17th, why are you moaning? We are above that, and we were last season, and the season before too! I'm still not sure AP can turn things around and think the club should look elsewhere, but let's not pluck numbers out of thin air to attack him. One look at our defense should be enough. Ultimately, the only stats that matter are the ones for a complete season.

Those are not s***e. If we are going to select random stats, why not those? Again, I am in the out camp, but much of the criticism of AP been plain abusive or stupid. There are many reasons to complain about our form, and the defense is the biggest one, but plumping for stats that, in essence, mean nothing makes no sense whatsoever. Unless, that is, the agenda is just to get rid of him, as some have wanted since he started. To me, it looks like our boards have been taken over by a bunch of Toon Army types.

You might as well select figures from 1990. As someone pointed out above you're only as good as your last game. Which in our case is at least better than it was three weeks ago.

When do the 3 of you last remaining HOL members and badge wearing leaders of the Pardew stroke my tummy club get it that: We shouldn't be letting in 3-5 goals to dross EVERY F'ing game The point he made about being happy with middle of bottom half is because of the slippery ladder come the end of the season meaning any teams below 10th can finish anywhere in that area when there is little to play for. The point he didn't make but is pretty clear is that albeit being wherever it is in the table, we've fecked up, vs the sh1t teams, led by the manager, same as the previous feck ups over many months,and now we go into a period of playing favourites for 3-4 games. Where is the is the sense and football intelligence with anything Pardew is doing/thinking/instructing? Our best hope is that we get some extreme luck now and fluke some points being the underdogs again because this manager cannot be trusted thinking he can take teams on. The reason we beat Southampton was because we didn't and the other wins were because they were sh1t. If he doesn't delude himself like his arrogant personality then we might have a chance. You 3 are dying breed of Pathetic Prep Pardew deniers because most have come to their senses with a brief pause after Southampton before more realised how ill equipped this bull sh1tter really is. For the record, our best league finishes in 111 years are: 3rd, 10th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 15th, 20th, 18th, 20th, and R, R, R, R, R, R. Not great is it? So, while we should aspire to better I don't think we should take our status for granted and expect we will be a solid mid table team when we have only once been in the top flight this long. To say otherwise is surely both unrealistic and ahistoric. As such, I would like to see a change of manager but, again, I find the routine abusive comments and the extreme claims about how bad AP is as a manager to be asinine in the extreme and factually false. He is our second best manager in terms of league placing and in serious cup competitions. Only one manager has done better in our entire history.
