I'm sorry but i don't buy all this 'we woz robbed''the luck is not with us' we woz gutsy etc. I think our fight has gone. We were so passive first half and just invited United on to us. We made a bit of a fist of it early in the second half, but we looked so vulnerable to crosses. Players not picking up runners, being out jumped. There is a deeper malaise here. Poor tactics, poor coaching and we are also paying for a poor pre-season which has resulted in us looking unfit. We were such a fit team when Pardew took over and we had quality as well. Anyone remember how brilliant we were at Anfield for the Stevie G farewell. We have even more quality now, but look worse as a team!!!! Who else is to blame apart from Pardew?? It is like the life is slowly being drained from us. We need to act now before it is too late

I don't think the fight has gone at all, we've fought our way back into games after conceding early and we got back on level terms with United when we could hardly get the ball at all. What's gone is the ability - or is it more of a choice - to shut up shop and close games out professionally. You're right about one thing though.

There was no lack of fight tonight. I thought it was a gritty, battling performance. The problem is that we can't afford to buy in the top talent in the same way as clubs such as Man U. The gulf is wider than ever. Edited by merganser (15 Dec 2016 12.00am)

Fight and spirit and commitment we still have aplenty. Discipline, organisation and leadership, on the other hand...

A total shambles tonight. Jimmy Mac on the wing really??? why? Zaha as a second striker why? We lacked width and could not get the ball off of united. The Plus point, Kelly looked more comfortable on the right. We played with heart, but as if not one of the players knew what they were supposed to be doing. Wilf looked a shadow of the player he was last week, Why are we playing players out of there natural positions Not sure what Pardee used as an excuse yet as I have not seen the interviews.

Now of course we aren't ever going to be anywhere close to the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, United Etc in the transfer market. That said we ain't short of a few quid. I get tired of people trotting out the same old "Plucky Palace" & "We are punching above our weight' Bollocks. The fact of the matter is we aren't seeing any improvement in team performance or league position. West Brom who are a similar sized club in terms of spending & Support wise are currently in seventh & on paper (IMO) with a squad which isn't as good as ours.

Didn't look like the fight had gone from where I was sitting. Was one of our best performances for a while. But it doesn't save Pards in my eyes. It actually highlights how well we could be and should be playing against all teams. But we aren't. That Palace would have steam rolled Hull, Burnely, West Ham, Bournemouth.
"We love you Palace, we f@cking hate Man U, We love you Palace, we hate the brighton too, We love you Palace we play in red 'n' blue, so f@ck you, and you ... |

Hennessy kept us in it at times, but the players kept plugging away, scored a fine equaliser and given the gap in class, deserved a point. I think the players are still playing for the manager. And that's what's keeping him in a job at the moment. If I had one complaint tonight it would be the players on the bench. A £13M player who looks a shadow of the player he should be, and 2 raw unknowns. In this league, that's a cause for concern.
