Hodgson??? For real? Hahha we're lucky we've got Parish making the decisions and not some from here... Hodgson!! Crazy that people are calling sam out and infact they want Hodgson. Sam like the OP said is just what we need. We can score goals for fun and Sam will tighten us up at the back. Something Pards was unable to do. Unlike Hodgson if sam is given the right players, which he has then we shouldn't loose to much flare. But Hodgson on the other hand would have drained the soul from the side in an instance. I really think some people on here just want to moan for the sake of moaning.... Anyway decent post from OP. Unbelievable that people are bitching about Sam as Hodgson is there preferred candidate. He would have been an excellent short term manager. Which as I said, IF we were going to go with the usual suspects. I would have preferred for us to look elsewhere. As for moaning, if offering a different opinion to you, is in your opinion moaning, then you probably shouldn't frequent Forums.

His ship has sailed in my opinion. You are of course welcome to your opinion. But I will still laugh in the face of anyone who thinks Hodgson is a better short term manager than Sam. Just look at what Sam has achieved at every club he's been at... there is no better short term manager if that's what your looking for and you said that's what you was looking at. So yes I'll laugh at your opinion becuase it's flawed. Relgation fight who would you want to manage your club. Sam or Hodgson? Sam. Period....

The only criticism you have is Hodgson's personality. Hodgson has been far more successful and the one thing that is troubling me about this appointment, doesn't have the threat of an FA investigation hanging over him

If I had to base Hodgson on his spell as england manager I wouldn't want him as a manager. He looked completely lost for ideas or how to build the best squad and the results weren't exactly 'wow' factor or reflective of a manager knowing what's best nor one which filled the team full of confidence. That is just my opinion of course. I'll settle for anybody who will keep us up this year and in Sam that lies.
