Poor pen ,I don't like that style which always give the keeper a fighting chance , should give someone else a go . In general he needs to be stronger and make runs into the box instead of pulling back . Always a sign of low confidence which he needs to address ......fast .

He needs to be taken off the job. He seems to lack confidence at it.

Also, what was he doing when he was clear if he had gone left?? He seemed to be so unsure.

I expect one of the chapters in Sam's dossier of How to Avoid Palace Dropping Bollocks will be entitled "Making sure our penalties aren't s***e".

There is a formula I've seen somewhere where it is physically impossible for the goalie to save a penalty (speed of kick, angle of kick) can't remember where I saw it but why not practice it after training rather than all these faints,stop/start,giving keeper "the eyes" etc). Still, I'd have taken a point before kickoff, we need to start our comeback somewhere (though it was disappointing having had the chance for 2-0). I think Sam summed it all up pretty well post match.
