Did anyone else notice how Townsend and cabaye (I think) just stood there, as opposed to rushing in? I would teach my kids I coached every time, rush in when the penalty is taken.

Keeper save or not save, it was a very very poor penalty. With Bentekes body language showing all the world where he was going to place the ball. BTW, have always disliked when the penalty taker does start/stop/start when approaching the ball. Instead of knowing where to put it and just hit the ball. Remember Kevin Philips at Wembley when we sneaked into the Premier league? That is how to do it - give the goalie no chance!

Yes i do actually, and he stands around far too much waiting for the ball to come to him and does not work the defence when he does not have the ball, he misses penalties, ball play off the floor poor and yet he is a good header of the ball, do you understand football?

Terrible penalty taken with arrogance, just like the one against West Ham where he side footed over the bar. Not what we need at the moment. That said, his overall contribution since singing has been very good.

It baffles me that a professional footballer cannot hammer a penalty right in the bottom corner every time. Kicking a ball accurately over 12 yards is not a tough skill for them. Surely all penalty takers would practice it every day for 15 minutes after training?

I am led to believe that Allardyce will be assessing the penalty taking this week.
