Not yet! Big Sam needs to make some monumental changes to this team. What I and the rest of our loyal supporters saw last night broke the trade descriptions act! Football, they didn't have a clue. They surrendered the game from the time the ref blue his whistle to start the game. They can't accurately pass the ball hence it's up in the air for CB to nod hopefully to a Palace player. We played so bad that we made Swansea look as though they were a top 5 team. If we can't beat the likes of Swansea with this team, it says a lot about whether we remain or not. We MUST introduce some new blood and QUICKLY. There is still time and opportunities. I have watched Palace since 1958 and what I saw last night was an absolute disgrace. I am embarrassed to be a Palace supporter. I am not talking about the last few games but for the whole of 2016. My local side, Sutton United would beat us in the cup if we had been drawn against them on Saturday!I will refrain from mentioning names but please remember Palace, that 25,000 loyal dedicated fans watch you at Selhurst and pay good money to do so, so please start playing some football that we can be proud of and that justifies your big salaries!

I think we'll stay up. As others have said, it won't be pretty, it won't be comfortable but he knows what he's doing and he'll get us safe.

I hope you're right because it won't be easy getting out of the Championship, just ask the likes Leeds, Wolves,Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham, Norwich, QPR,Blackburn and so it goes on! Sorry to sound negative, but what was on exhibition last night could be put on a par with the National Division, JUST!

I hope you're right because it won't be easy getting out of the Championship, just ask the likes Leeds, Wolves,Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham, Norwich, QPR,Blackburn and so it goes on!

I am not sure I agree the OP. I suspect we will scrape survival by the skin of our teeth if only because there are at least 3 worse teams than us. Yes, we lost to one of those. However, I have not been so grumpy [I woke in the middle of the night still seething] since Fulham... and look what happened to that little renaissance. However, we need to prepare for a very difficult January and early February. Not the ideal time given the relatively benign fixtures. We have several walking wounded slowly recovering; we have one key player out for the season; we have several First XI players coming back this month; our best player is away and may not return fully fit; we may buy new players but only at the end of the month; and he/they will require bedding down; and a new manager who is taking longer than our previous "saviours" to get a foothold. Reasons for optimism? Not many. 2 left footed players will balance the team; SA is a proven manager who will come good; Macarthur, Mandanda, Remy(?), Benteke and various half-fit players to hit full fitness towards the end of January; and a good rest for the whole team from now to next Saturday. However, the main reason is that stated above - there are worse teams [believe it or not after last night]; and when we play a fit, rested, better prepared team our relative quality will show. Just.

I am not sure I agree the OP. I suspect we will scrape survival by the skin of our teeth if only because there are at least 3 worse teams than us. Yes, we lost to one of those. The only saving grace is that there are a lot of shockingly average teams in the prem and the three relegation places could be taken up by anyone of about 6 clubs, so far to early to start wetting knickers just yet. However it's going to be close, and I know last night was pisspoor, but we did have two clear cut penalty's denied to us by what I can only assume to be massive Official error, meaning we should have had a minimum of three goals (assuming benteke didn't take the pens). Our current injury list is nearly a full first team. Dann Remy McCarthur Fryers Soure Wickham C Benteke J Benteke and wilf and Sako are off to the AFCON. We also had 24 hours less recovery time than them, and it showed. Clearly there are fitness issues at the club, but that's NOT SA doing, that's mildews fault. Way to early to talk about going down with a new manager. I just hope now some people can see what an absolute pr1ck AP was. We have a shocking injury list and no real strength in depth and no willingness to risk the youngsters. At the moment the way we are playing I would rather see the likes of Kai Kai and Boetang on the pitch giving it 100%. Where's the magic number guy? Didn't think we would need it this season.
