This is sadly true. What Pardew did to Kelly is criminal. No left back cover at all and then plays Kelly there for 2 months and Ward at right back instead of the other way round. As far as I can remember he has never played there. At the if the day the players are coached in where to play and it failed miserably. Why oh why are we not playing two strikers at home against the team with the worst defensive record in the league. Our play has not improved under bfs in fact we are letting in goals by the shed load since he came in. Wrong choice of manager he is greedy and o my in it for the money. Since the Americans started getting involved on the playing side it has been a disaster.

I wonder whether they interfere in the day to day running of the club or whether they call the shots in the selling and buying of players.

These are life changing sums and it is only natural that a little hunger and desire has now been lost. Players like Ward, Punch etc are definitely not the same player as 2 years ago 2. Unbalanced squad - this goes back to Pulis era who released 2 left backs and didn't buy a replacement. In the summer Pards let 2 centre backs go and replaced with just 1. We only had 1 recognised left back in the whole squad and he then got injured (driving his 120k car too fast!!). A lack of No 10s has not been addressed. This is a critical position in our formation yet we have lacked one for 2 years now - Punch can't do it and Pardew's replacements have been poor (e.g. Lee and Mutch - Mutch will cost the club 10m plus in transfer fee and wages over his contract) 3. New players coming in on silly money has unsettled the squad - Cabeye on £86k and Beneteke on £120k will has caused unrest. Zaha 'only' on £40k is a prime example and his agent has unsettled him. 4. Pardew's philosophy - think he lost sight of what made Palace a decent team - hard work and organisation. I applaud him for trying to get us playing more football but these steps were made too quickly. Home form in particular has been a massive issue for 2 seasons. Having said that we usually in games and rarely lost heavily 4. Big Sam's appointment. Let's be honest in ideal circumstances he would have had consider Palace as an employer so we knew we were buying damaged goods. I think he has one way of managing , just like Redknapp, and times have changed. He has spent massive quantities of money in a desperate trolley dash and yet palace have got worse. He always has an excuse for everything and it is never his fault. The defence has got worse. 5 at the back at home against the bottom club is a bizarre formation. He reminds me of Van Gaal at Man U - this way has worked for me before so i keep doing the same thing. I am concerned for the future, especially when you look at Swansea and Hull and how they've improved recently

How can it simply be down to one man, who got us playing so attracively and so consistently, for this collapse, and if it was, why can his successor (who, like him or hate him, has a rep for putting out tight and disciplined sides) not halt the slide? There seems to be an atmosphere almost like death about the place - everything we built up, the support, the obvious team spirit, the 'never say die' mentality, Fortress Selhurst has evaporated in a puff of smoke. Is it really possible that one man could have destroyed all that, and so suddenly? It's the sudden-ness of the collapse that perplexes me. What can possibly bring about such a dramatic change in so short a period of time? It beats me, it really does. Our problem is very simple, if our home record was the same as our away record we would be on 24 points and that would put us safe...ish... If our away record was the same as our home record then we would be on 10 points, thats Aston Villa stuff... Away form for the season we are 10th and home we are 5 points adrift at the bottom. Thats why we are in this position, we can argue about fine tuning and what formation or team to put out but the problem is this simple, we are dogsh1t at home, there is literally nothing else to debate...
