Yeah I get this but I think he is hamstrung by his sheer size somewhat in his defence. You have to wonder to what extent his low movement is due to his size though.

Lukaku is quite big too. Doesn't seem to stop him. And off topic a bit but apparently benteke is on 120k a week, lukaku on 75k a week....shocking.

Speroni

Zaha - Tomkins - Sakho - Delaney - PVA

Townsend - Mili/MacArthur - Cabaye - Schlupp

Benteke

Subs; A goalie/Ward/Mili or MacArthur/Campbell/Remy/Lee/Fryers

That pace will leave Stoke standing, and the WZ/AT and PVA/Schlupp pairings should see much better service to Benteke.

Understand Dann is injured

Nowhere near the squad please; Hennessey/Puncheon/Ledley

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..

Reckon it's too soon for Luka to start, so for me I'd like to see McArthur and Flamini in midfield, with LM to come on second half.

Attacking mid I would put Townsend in to see if he can cause some chaos, attacking threat and link midfield to attack. He and Wilf could swap and switch during the game to cause some mayhem and give Townsend some time on his favoured right wing.

My team,4-4-1-1

Speroni (or Mandanda if fit)

Tomkins Delaney Sakho Van Aanholt

Zaha McArthur Flamini Schlupp

Townsend

Benteke

Subs
Ward
Kelly
Milviojevic
Puncheon
Cabaye
Remy
GK

Honest Dave, I think he can do this. Think of Moses. Wilf has the work ethic and the pace, and has been really covering Ward's shortcomings for a while now. I think the pace of him getting forward on the outside, and Townsend cutting in, will accommodate them both on the right and really give teams something to think about. Similarly for PVA/Schlupp on the left.

that's why I said you have to wonder to what extent his size matters, Bnteke does seem to be holding back especially compared to Lukaku, scared of picking up an injury perhaps.
Lukaku indeed has very good movement for a big guy, but he won't run around like Campbell or MacArthur. But yes we should expect more movement from Benteke

The problem is he cannot tackle and if someone touches him, he will throw his hands in the air with that indignant expression on his face, as the players runs on to score.
