One thing is for shure,,,, we need to win against Hull and Burnley and that is 6 more points on the board, and the rest we got to pick up som from the big teams as well.
e have to actually grind out the wins at home as best as we can.

Well after looking at all the teams remaining fixtures I believe 34 points with the goal difference will be enough to stay up this season but most certainly 35 will be enough.

As it stands

Sunderland need 15 points from 10 games only won 5 all season

Middlesbrough need 13 points from 10 games only won 4 all season

Hull need 11 points from 9 games only won 6 all season

Swansea need 9 points from 9 games won 8 games all season

Palace need 6 points from 10 games won 8 games all season

All the above will need to finish 1 point more than palace due to goal difference so hence based them on 35 points and us on 34 points.

If we get 2 more wins and 1 draw or 3 wins we will stay up.

36 should remove all reasonable doubt, 3 wins and maybe a draw for us. I think that would be asking too much from any of the others. Sunderland would have to win 6/10 games, Boro would need 6, Hull would need 5. Its just not going to happen...

In the main it has been a miserable season where we have managed to average a point a game.
Things have looked up of late, but even if we only continue with the same points average that would most likely see us safe.

We're going to need one big scalp from one of the top teams. Got a feeling it may be a Wednesday evening home to Spurs.(minus Kane) that is.. Don't see us doing much at the bridge, Arsenal could be doable, had some close games at selhurst over the years. Either way we need a huge scalp from someone, and feel we could pull it off.

I fancy us to end with 40 points.
36 would keep us up.

Hull are in 18th and have taken 0.83 points per game so far this season. Extrapolated over 38 games this gives them roughly 31.5, call it 32 for arguments sake.

Normally at least one of the teams in the relegation zone experiences an upturn in form, so you could probably add 2 or 3 points on to account for that. However, I still think you're looking at 35 max this year.

That's 7 points we need in 10 games, even given our fixture list that should be doable.

To simplify things, we're 4 points ahead of Hull with a game in hand and vastly superior goal difference and 6 ahead of Boro. If we go down now then we deserve to.

Still reckon 36 will be enough as long as we don't get caned by someone but given our remaining fixtures it's still going to take a monumental effort to do it despite what we have achieved in the last few weeks.

There's a swing involved in the Palace v Hull match that can turn all predictions and stats if Hull win. That is a must not lose game unless they're ahead of us, which they might be if we don't get a couple of results in the next handful of tough matches. I think we will but what if we get 1 or 2 points from 5 games and hull go above us?

I do think we'll do it but we all must not get complacent and give full support cos the team will need it.

I don't really go on this how have they done over 7 months so far. It's more about what they're capable of. And a few wins can turn into more if the fixture list and their opponents' distractions go in their favour and they see they can do it getting closer to within touching distance. Actually we have some of that in our favour and I wouldn't be surprised if Sam and Sammy Lee were grinning to each other in the office about playing Spurs 4 days after their FA cup semi v Chelsea and 4 days before playing Arsenal. And also the Leicester match a few days after Leicester play atletico in Madrid and a few days before they play atletico in Leicester. 2 of the more winnable tough matches with help to win them. But hull might also get a bit of fortune too so the old twists and turns cliché often rings true.

Arsenal dropping a lot of points at the moment. Might just get a point or three off them?

Of the remaining games against the "big boys," Liverpool seems the diciest as we will have to reorganize the defense with Sakho out. Call me a crazy optimist but the way we're set up now we could very well sneak a point at Stamford Bridge. Soton will be tough if Gabbiadini is healthy. Arsenal looks very vulnerable. With the newly found steel in the back I see us staying up comfortably.
