When was the last player that joined a European giant the likes of Barca,juve,r Madrid or Bayern Munich from a club the size of Palace. It's great in theory but zaha will want to test himself in the champions league with a spurs or Man City. If he then shines in the champions league then he would join a Barca or a Madrid. Zaha was tempted to leave in the august window. I would love him to stay and humiliate Brighton one last time.

If a club like Chelski or the Arse come in for him at 35mil, that could be enough for Wilf to request a transfer. If he doesn't, that's all good to me but when SP comes out and says he's going nowhere, although I like the commitment to keep our best players, I believe he is going to want to go. Everton can't keep Lukaku, we face the same problem with Wilf and to some extent attracting Sakho to the club.

Also in terms of keeping him I think it will follow Yannick's departure last season. The club will try everything to keep him but ultimately it will be the players decision. I think we should be worrying about our Manager leaving before any of our star players. If Sam keeps us up, his domestic stock will rise even further and a bigger Prem club might try and poach him as a result! Keep Sam and we have a better chance of convincing certain players that there is a real opportunity to further their career in SE25 … All the above is academic if we get relegated though! Ha!

Agree and kind of as you say, they go hand in hand. Players might stay if deals are right and Sam stays if his and their deals are right and most are kept.

Interesting reading on Sakho and Wilf and Parish's views. Let's not forget that Wilf recently signed a new contract so it's going to cost any team a pretty fortune to get him out of it.
