Despite having the combined weight of the BBC, the Sun, the Daily Mail, the Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Express and Sky TV behind them, the Tories still couldn't win.

5th best. Sorry. It was late. Only 2010 and 2015 were worse.

It's good to see the public thinking for themselves. Again. And the Tories being propped up by the Scotch!

May has always dreamed of being a PM but will now go down as one of the shortest in recent history.

1992? Labour have more than 30 more seats and Tories won a majority. That was also worse. The other 3 elections Labour won so it's hardly surprising this isn't as good.

The truth is that this is about as good a result as Labour could have realistically expected.

It makes Tories much weaker and much less electable next time. Lots of much closer Tory marginals now which they could very well lose in a possible autumn election.

And most incompetent.

The Tories have been the ruination of this country over the last few decades what with Thatcherism, aggressive capitalism, attacks on public services and their in-fighting over Europe. A Europe that they signed all the very significant treaties/deals for since the 70's.

They have 'led' us to this point. The country is so divided. Just hope a few more wake up to it before the next election in October if there is one.

How does Sinn Fein winning seven seats in Northern Ireland affect the required seats for a majority? I understand that SF does not take their seats, thus reducing the number of MPs.

My previous predictions of a 60 majority may be incorrect.

It's very early but one thing seems to be that Corbyn's politics are here to stay.

Don't beat yourself up. You were only out by 75 seats.

I was out by zero seats but who's counting?

"....always wrong"
