... who's achievement will be seen as the more remarkable? Allardyce or Pulis?

Discuss.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Pulis maybe for me. He had a much less talented side that was stranded.

I'm going to say Allardyce mainly because the team had not only lost its way when he came in but they were clearly not responding well to change on the training ground until the collapse against Sunderland.
Pulis had to mould a team, stop leaking goals and get organised. All difficult things and fair play to him for achieving it.
Allardyce had to do all of those things AND lift the mood of the place, change attitudes, work on individuals confidence and re educate when it comes to 'respecting a point'. It also goes without saying that Allardyce has collected more big scalps along the way. Pulis: Chelsea and Liverpool. Allardyce: Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal (with City & United still to play).
Of course if we end up going down it wont mean much!

If Sam stays for next season then him, as Pulis nearly undid all his hard work by f***ing off with his bonus. The football has been better (mostly) from Sam's team and he has produced more unlikely results, whereas Pulis largely got points from the smaller teams.

Allardyce for me. The EPL has moved on massively in the short time since Pulis was here with the overall quality going up & up.

Big Sam has had to undo more than a year's worth of mismanagement including low morale, poor fitness and tactical chaos. The Club was in a much worse state but with much higher expectations (considering the players we had) when he turned up and I can't believe anyone imagined the extent of the turnaround we eventually saw.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Some statistic

Everton have never lost a league match away to the Swans, winning eight of the 11 fixtures

They have not lost a league match in Wales since 1956, when beaten 1-0 by Cardiff at Ninian Park.

Hope this statistic will still remain.

And Burnley came to us having not won an 'Away' game all season.

This was the starting 11 for Pulis' first game: Julian Speroni, Joel Ward, Danny Gabbidon, Damien Delaney, Dean Moxey, Kagisho Dikgacoi, Mile Jedinak, Barry Bannan, Jason Puncheon, Marouane Chamakh, Cameron Jerome.

Pulis is a s***, but our squad was so awful that what he did with us must rank as one of the greatest achievements in recent PL history.
