Even if we tryed, we'd still be hated. And all the hashtags, candlelit vigils, and Facebook filters won't bring back the lives of those senselessly lost in Manchester and last night at London Bridge. Either we toughen up, or these incidents will continue to break us.

Actually shocked waking up to this. Probably because it's London and it's close to home. Always been of the mentality that everyone should go about their business as usual but I am going to London tonight and I don't fancy going now , but that's what these terrorist want isn't it. Quite annoyed at the bbc news coverage so far this morning. Spoken more about the election , campaigning being suspended and democracy because it happened in London as opposed to the death toll and amount injured. w***ers

What I've heard happened to the young woman is horrific. Bald guy on street said they shouted, ''This is for Allah'' and stabbed her about 15 times. He said she asked for help and there was nothing they could do. I don't know if he meant during or after.

I'm surprised that none of our bunch of HOL lefties, particularly Steeleye and Legal, have not been on here complaining about trigger-happy police shooting dead people of ethnicity instead of arresting them. Can we expect 2011 style riots to protest against racist police brutality?
