Being a Palace fan I am extremely pessimistic of much if any transfer activity from us but can only hope ATM but as suggested I'm not investing too much in hope I think this is just how these types of deal pan out I reckon we will sign him but in the end, as with Benteke, cough up most of what the Pool want. Which then begs the question why wait until the end of the window. Maybe we save a couple of million but maybe we have also shot ourselves in the foot at getting a running start to the season. We would definitely have played far better with Sakho in the games to date. Our defence has been too exposed too often and lacks someone that knows the right place at the right time.

Totally agree, The only justification I can find for the 'why wait until the end of the window' question is again because maybe other options were considered but didn't work out. Total conspiracy-esque here but perhaps us going for Sakho now could also be a sign of the board going over FdB's head on transfers for one reason or another ?? Have to amuse myself with what can only ever be guess work!

We have to sign him. When he arrived the players raised their game by 50%. He was immense as we won 5 games out of seven and we only lost to Spurs after he went off. He is a born leader something we really lack. I think it will give his buddy Benteke a big lift tok
