Which division we end up in is another punt. If we want to sign on the cheap then we're better off doing it with Benteke still here, or eek more out of him before the decline starts. I think that's the art of managing your transfers out the best you can. Fergie at Man U always sold as they were about to start the descent in their career. 2 players for under £20 mil who we sell back to the country we bought them from 1.5 years later for half the amount. Which division we end up in is another punt. If we want to sign on the cheap then we're better off doing it with Benteke still here, or eek more out of him before the decline starts. you make a lot of good points Rudi but what price would you say was acceptable? 45m? 50m? 60m? 100m? and, once you accepted that amount, what would you do with it? me, I suspect tekkers wants out. no reason at all, just too long supporting palace to think good players will want to stay. as such, I'd want us to push him toward Chelsea for Zouma and Batshuayi if he did want out. Chelsea must hate Everton for selling lukaku to the Mancs...maybe they would enjoy sticking one in their eye. for me, it's better to try and trade cleverly IF players want out, not out up barriers. If he doesn't want out then selling probably isn't wise or necessary. I would take a straight swap for those 2 or even chuck them a few bob. If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

and, once you accepted that amount, what would you do with it?

He's buying a house in London, is in a dressing room with French being the 2nd language. Unless Chelsea want him then I'm not sure he'd want the upheaval of Everton. Anyone who thinks selling benteke is a good idea in the slightest needs their heads testing. We've got a player that can score 15+ a season, yeah let's sell him and then use all the money to try and find another striker who can score 15+ a season. Smh

It bothers me that Steve parish hasnt came out and stated that benteke is not for sale , spuds have done it with Eric dier knowing that man ure are sniffing around after him
