3-4-3 formation...

Ok so here's a link [Link] to us possibly playing a 3-4-3 formation rather than a 4-3-3 which many had thought would be how we lined up. What are people's thoughts or even just casual understanding of 3-4-3 Apparently it's what FdB was schooled in at Ajax however I had thought that he always played 4-3-3. Is this why we're being linked with so many CB? Cillessen Chambers, Burno, JR Van der Wiel, Luka, Loftus-Cheek, PVA Wilf, Benteke, Andros I'll hold my hands up and say I though JR was being brought as cover for Bruno but maybe he'll play along side him. My opinion is we'll come fourth in the PL Asia Cup and be looking for a new manager in January.

He already has said he'd play wilf in a different position and make more use of him attacking wise. So this makes sense. Andros and wilf will not be the wing backs. They'll be striker left and right striker... A barca kind of front three. Perhaps this then means we will not be after an attacking central midfielder. Milo... Loftus... Cabaye.... Where's the position coming from. Well just be after another striker I'm sure. Aside from gk and Rb of course

I've had a season ticket at Ajax for years in my younger days and if one would ask me what do they play: 4-3-3 would be the answer without a shadow of a doubt. And of course there is variety, if both CB's can play ball and also have pace (think Rijkaard, the best of them all in my memory) then in possession he could be considered a midfield player. Even Aldeweireld and Vertonghen played far forward regularly but surely they were Centre Backs. 2 things will be paramount: does Luca have the pace to play with a lot of space in his back and who will play in Central defense. Personally think loftus-cheek will push him out of contention. Nothing against Punch or him being named captain but really think RLC will make the first team within a couple of months. And if he does I can't for the life of me see Luka being dropped. All though maybe he'll play left wing back... can't see it though. Just realised my team doesn't even contain Cayabe ! No idea how this formation will work without dropping some big palace names or not being a traditional 3 CB with 2 wing backs. But more importantly what do you think the line up will be? Yup get with the times Dave. Just trying to predict how we'll line up first day of the season. Would really like to know everyone's own thoughts, other than just say I'm wrong but not put anything forward yourselves... Edited by Goldfiinger (18 Jul 2017 6.12pm)
